Columbia Aged Care Services

Columbia Aged Care Services is a private health care group offering residential aged care facilities in a number of locations across Sydney. We focus on the care, comfort and consideration of our residents. We provide them with the highest quality health care, respect their individuality and assist them to maintain their health and wellbeing.

The Strathdale Centre is located in Strathfield and is set in a quiet street with pleasant surrounds, each floor of this three level centre has its own comfortable recreational, lounge and dining areas. Large balconies adjoin each room with single and shared accommodation is available. The facility accommodates 146 residents.

The building is centrally heated and some rooms have air-conditioning. A lift provides easy access to all levels. A new three-storey building has been erected in the newly landscaped garden area housing additional recreational, lounge, dining and function rooms.

The garden area is secure and offers a barbecue area with gazebo where families can enjoy a relaxing afternoon and where group activities are often held. Strathdale is only 5 minutes walk from Strathfield Station and bus terminals, and is handy to Strathfield Plaza shopping mall.

Two major public hospitals are only 15 minutes away by car and churches of every major denomination are also close by.

Care, Comfort and Consideration
Columbia Aged Care Services provide a wide range of care and service depending on individual needs. In particular, we provide quality care to those with special needs.

We are proud to say that our Accreditation Standards surpass the government standards in many areas. One of the ways we achieve this standard is through extensive ongoing consultation with residents, families and staff.

We offer residential aged care accommodation including low care; high care and respite care (including emergency respite); residents with dementia are also catered. There is a mix of single and shared rooms and all centres are secure.

Each of our centres meets the needs of their local community. Columbia is committed to recognising and respecting the cultural diversity of all of our residents.

Each day of the week offers new and varied activities ranging from in-house fitness and craft classes, through to special morning teas and day trips to community events and activities. Each of our centres has lovely gardens which are a favourite for residents and their families to relax and enjoy.
